Orders follows a purchase while it is being reviewed, built and delivered. My Sails is the long-term home of the sail itself.
What belongs in My Sails
Each delivered sail has its completed Sail Passport:
- the boat and hardware it was designed to fit;
- the choices and reviewed specification you confirmed;
- the final measured dimensions and production details;
- the inspection and delivery record;
- photographs, inspection notes, repairs and alterations added later.
This is why a service question years later does not start from memory, and why another sail for the same boat can begin from a known record.
Before and after production
The Passport has two jobs.
Before production, it is the reviewed record you confirm on the website. Your confirmation releases the specification to the loft.
After production, it becomes the permanent identity and service record of the finished sail. Final build and inspection information is added to the version you approved.
Add to the record
Keep useful evidence with the sail:
- photographs of wear found during an inspection;
- the date and description of a repair;
- the local loft and work it completed;
- an alteration or replacement component;
- notes that will matter when the sail is next serviced or replaced.
The Passport does not replace contacting us. For advice, repair authorisation or a warranty review, email crew@surgesails.com with the order number or sail label. The resulting work and photographs can then be written back to the Passport.
Orders are separate
